Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

Scientifically the chicken....as this is not accurate. The first egg-layers were reptiles - with the archeopterix as first bird. Reptiles often lay soft eggs. In distant time some reptile gave birth to an offspring that was inside a protective membrane - a mutation. This offspring was better protected and survived. Later on with mutation and natural selection these reptiles developed the first eggs... Plain and Simple Darwin!
