It is a fact that this country was built by immigrants, however, the majority were not illegal. I'm sick and tired of illegals coming into the country unchecked, working under the table, stealing people's identities, sponging off the system.

- Technically Lefty, the indian tribes believed that noone actually owned the land, only that everyone was a part of it; so, noone really STOLE anything they felt they owned. The Indians were taken advantage of though as they had no concept of ownership equal to that of the settlers.

without the "illegal immigrants", there would be so much wrong. They are hired because they work for less and if you get rid of them, and hire legal americans, they will demand for higher wages and then the cost of groceries and common goods will sky-rocket. I don't think it's right that they are sneaking into our country. I think we should have a guest worker program here and let them come here LEGALY and work in the US for 8 or 10 years, and get some money, and then leave again. This idea is getting increasingly hard because so many are against it and so many are already working here.

First of all, let me say this: the Native Americans were stolen from. They were perhaps the only people on the planet who learned to live in symbiosis and harmony with it. Our forefathers failed us through their bigotry in the way that Native Americans and Blacks were so cruelly abused. This is not yet made right. These people ARE WE the people. How anyone, especially our forefathers, did not get that is beyond me...
About ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, you cannot generalize about them! Some are honest people trying to survive, people with values who well help make American great if we would only help them. Others are criminals, ransacking, pillaging and plundering our nation of its jobs, resources, honesty, etc. Yes, the English who murdered Native Americans were those types of people.
We must MAKE A DISTINCTION between these types of people, lend a helping hand to those good ones, and unmercifully bar the bad ones from coming.
