Why did God need to test Abraham's faith in Him if He's omniscient? For that matter, why did he need to test his faith (by asking him to kill his own son?!) even if He wasn't? Seems to me that God's faith in Abraham was a lot weaker than the other way around...

God did tell Abraham to kill his son, as you mentioned. However, if I remember correctly, his son was never killed. God was testing Abraham and Abraham proved to be loyal, but Abraham's son didn't die then. You left this out. I could be wrong, but it seems that you did this on purpose, most likely because you are anti-Christian. When you make a poll, try to keep your bias out of it.

God told Abraham to BIND his son. And it was to show the world Abrahams faith in God.
