Prostitution ... What Makes It Bad?

Disturbing

People cant be serious when they are voting for the death penalty for selling sex?

Sadly I really think they are. Pathetic isn't it? Frankly I don't agree with prostitution and I never will. But I don't think it's disgusting, I think it's degrading and destructive more than any thing else.

As far as the punishments laid down in this poll though, I think it's way off base. The punishments should be more geared towards counseling, and these women AND men regaining their self respect and sense of dignity.

People may think that I'm some sort of bible banger, but really I don't beleive in god, and that could be my driving reasoning. Life is too short to do $%!@ like this to yourself, and you only get one life to live.

i was going to ask why in the world someone would say that prostitution is degrading but not disgusting but then I saw who posted it.

and for the record lying down with dogs and getting up with fleas IS disgusting.

I find it more than just pathetic, I find it downright disturbing. It concerns me when anyone puts anything other than human life above human life like that.

always will be prostitution

Its called the worlds oldest profession---so I do not think its going away. When i was just starting out as a lawyer-I was a public defender so represented prostitutes among others. It made me sad-- in less than a yr those` girls looked beaten down, beaten up--It is very hard on women---they are beaten--it is a terrible risk to physical and emotional health. It is cruel and exploitive. I would make every effort to get them into a counselling program especially for women who wish to exit the life---sometimes it worked--mostly it did not.
