which religion causes most war

Now I'm no expert, but no religion I've seen encourages people to go to war. War is a man-made thing. People just use their religion as a way of justifying their actions 'in the name of god' And this is coming from an athiest

Thank you Pete, most wars are fought over econics (like oil), territory, or power. Religion is only one of many factors when it is a factor at all. On the other hand if religious people of every faith would agree to act in the peaceful way their faiths call on them to act it would certainly help to make a more peaceful world. D. L. Miller (from the Church of the Brethren) once made what he called a modest proposal. He asked all the churches in the World Council of Churches to agree that they would not go to war against other Christians. They though it was a good idea but most voted no. They could never get their people to go along. I would make that proposal again to all faiths and even atheists. that we agree not to go to war with each other. Any takers?
