I have one example to share about the title of this post...........

MEDICINE MAN (with Sean Connery and Lorraine Bracco)

In the home video version of this movie all of the aboriginal south american indians are wearing nothing but half sarongs that only cover their genital areas from the front view. In the TV version (which I only needed to see once to have a terrible opinion of) all of the males are wearing full waist wraps that also cover their rear-ends to some degree. All of the females are wearing full body sarongs that cover everything except their heads, arms, and lower legs. In both versions of the movie Sean Connery is never less than fully dressed though he's been living in the woods with these aborigines for how many years? And he never once wears any of the same kind of clothing as the aborigines. In both versions of the movie during the scene where the aborigines are helping "Dr. BRONX" (Lorraine Bracco) collect and break up the flowers of the ?vermiliads?, the camera pans across the chests of all of the women that are standing at the table. In the home video version all of the aborigines are topless but Lorraine Bracco is not. In the TV version ALL of the females are wearing a top. My point with this individual tv shot is this........ "if all of the women are wearing a top what is the point of panning the camera across their chests? And then the final insult to the mentalities of the American viewing public comes when Sean and Lorraine are discussing the fact that there is "very little of the original serum left" and Sean Connery shouts "What don't you understand. I've found the cure for the f*ing plague of the 20th century and now I've lost it". In both versions of the movie the shot is left untouched except that in the TV version there is a clearly evident "overdub" for the one specific word.

My problem with this situation is this.............................

The studio re-shot EVERY SINGLE SHOT where there was nakedness among the aborigines (some 15 minutes or more) but they couldn't take the time to have Sean Connery re-enact that 2 SENTENCE SHOT without saying the foul language?
