I would not ever have considered religion necessary so to speak, but if used in the right way can be beneficial. Unfortunatley hardly anybody can get their head around the fact that religion is about love, peace, knowledge & wisdom, not about demonising, condemning or attacking others for not sharing your man made beliefs.
