All about anklets and ankle bracelets
I am a heterosexual guy and I love wearing an anklet, especially during the summer when I am wearing shorts and can show it off. It is a simple, beige, sailors knot, hemp anklet - like something a surfer would wear. I like to wear it fairly loose around my left ankle so it has some play. I think it really looks good when I am wearing flip flops or if I am just rolling barefoot.
I got it last spring and wore it all summer long. The cool thing about hemp is that it gets softer and more frayed out the longer you wear it, sort of like a pair of jeans. It also gets darker. The one on my foot is now a honey color.
I think it makes me look masculine and rugged whether crusing the boardwalk at the beach or playing frisbee in the park. It's also the perfect compliment to going barefoot without looking like a hobo. It even looks cool on me when my soles are black with dirt. My girlfriend and her friends think I look really sexy wearing it - sort of like a surfer dude.
Anyway, for all of you guys that think anklets are just for women, they are not. The silver, gold, and multicolor ones are, but a earthtones hemp anklet is a manly alternative.
Try one out for yourself. You will find yourself going barefoot more often if you have one on too. Girls will think you are hot - trust me!
I started wearing an anklet when i wqs in summer camp - you got it and added beads as you completed activities. They made us wear it on our ankle, dont kow why.
Before that i thought it was girly, but i just kept it on after that. Girls will sya they like it, and some boys make fun of me but i dont care
I to wear an anklet. I'm a 34 year old guy and I make my anklets out of cotton cord into a Turks Head knot. Mine is woven right onto my ankle and is quite tight and about two and a half inces wide, girls always ask about it and I think it looks cool. Mike
