Displaying the Ten Commandments in public places

To those who answered that other faiths and beliefs aren't allowed to display their beliefs...how do you figure? I see displays of many other beliefs everywhere I go!! Why can't we all have the right to express what we believe?

because America is a Christian nation and is founded on a christian values. To suggest others should have a right to display what they want is just another liberal attempt at poltical correctness and tolerance. If they want to display their minority mosques or towel head displays they can do that in the Middle East. It is people like you why America was FORCED to integrate- "but they have rights too." What about our rights? We are the majority for cryin' out loud! What ever happened to majority rule? You don't like it? You can leave! For anyone who takes this liberal, accepting, PC response, I have one question-what if the roles were reversed? Do you think the Hindu's, Muslims, or Nation of Islams would give a damn about us? I didn't think so.

First of all, even though most of first settlers to America were Christians doesn't mean that this country was founded upon Christianity. Many of the founding fathers were deists,and so they were liberal in their religious views. While the founding fathers supported majority rule, they didn't intend for the majority to be tyrannical. So, much to your dismay they gave those evil minorities rights. Too bad you didn't live in Europe during the middle ages when they had a Christian Theocracy. Just so you know, your beloved Jesus Christ advocated tolerance. I have no problem with individuals practicing religion in public. However, I don't feel that it is appropriate for the government to endorse, or "recognize" as they claim, a religion or a religious view.

Dude, our federal government comes partly from Franklin visiting the meeting of Indian leaders and Ben studying how they ran things. Other things like our court system can be traced to Islam! Many Jews came to the US to escape the Christians making life impossible for nonbelievers.
