ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED
What do you mean by salvation? If you mean having eternal life, we were all saved from death by the Cross and that can not be taken from anyone who believes. If you mean being saved from all punishment for our sins, that requires more than faith alone but faith and deeds. St. Paul tells us that even those whom the Lord loves He chastises, just as Earthly fathers chastise errant children. If we do not pay for our sins in this world we will pay for them in the world to come where the payments may be less to our liking. Here we live in ignorance and human weakness where the corruption of our souls is easier to make clean by acts of mercy and charity and self-sacrifice for the sake of our fellow sinners. On the Day of Judgement when we stand before God we will no longer have the hungry to feed, the sick to heal, or anyone within our power to help. Being tormented for eternity with the Beast and the False Prophet is salvationn from death, I suppose, but we can do better than that by being better than that. We were made in God's own imagine.
