The JFK Assassination

President Kennedy visited San Diego in 1963. His motorcade drove up El Cajon Blvd. and the crowd was huge all the way. He rode in an open limo. Many people ran out to shake his hand, including my step brother! JFK drove on to SDSU where he delivered the commencement address that year. San Diego, although a conservative Republican town at the time, welcomed JFK with massive, enthusiastic crowds not seen again until President Clinton visited. May God rest his soul, he was a great President.
