I think today's societ uses gay with more than one definition. One version is men who date men. The other meaning seems to be odd, unique, or off the beaten path. All goth's are not gay (the first meaning), men dating men. They are however off the beaten path, and unique, albeit far from unique when you see how similar a lot of them are to one another.
Goths are merely mild rebels, in my opinion. Side note: some men look truely hot in makeup, too.
