Be honest, has anyone ever made any money on e-bay?

Your first question implies that everyone goes on eBay for the purpose of making money. What about those of use who use it very successrully to A) get rid of stuff we do not want, and B) buy things we do need or want? I have made NO money on eBay, but have used it very successfully as a useful tool. We are not all $%!@ Cheneys, eveluating everything in the universe according to how much money it can make for us.
