Do you believe in god?

I am not an atheist. I am a former atheist. Atheism is the wrong view of nature. Christianity is the wrong view of nature. Make no mistake about it, God does exist. But God is not what you think he is. For example, you have heard that God is love. But God is also hate. God is good, and he is evil. God is beautiful, and he is ugly. God is kind and gentle, and he is vicious and cruel. God is all of these things. He is not just one thing; he is all things. He is everything.

You have all seen God, but you have not recognized him. He has been with all of us from the beginning. Perhaps, you will someday understand the physical mechanics of God; but that day is not today. In the meantime, there is nothing wrong with being an atheist. It is a good way to live. It is freedom from religion.

Throughout history religion has shown itself to be an instrument of evil. In the Dark Ages Christians murdered people who had different beliefs. The Muslims are doing the same thing today. Religion is used to suppress minorities. Homosexuals are persecuted because they were born with different sexual desires. People kill in the name of God. Religion is intolerant and repressive. That’s why “freedom from religion” is a good way to live.

God does not need people to worship him. The laws of the universe will continue to operate whether you worship God or not.

Some will say there is no evidence of God. He does not give evidence. God performs miracles in front of witnesses, and then you either believe the witnesses or you don’t. Where has God been for the past two thousand years? He has always been there. He never went away. God spoke to Jesus, and he spoke to Moses. He also spoke to Mohammed. God spoke to the three children of Fatima in 1917. God spoke to Bernadette at Lourdes, France, in 1858. And he spoke to Sister Catherine in Paris in 1830. God did not disappear and leave this world. He continues to exert his influence.

Where exactly is God? He lives on every mountain and in every valley. He lives on every star and planet throughout the universe. And he lives inside each one of us. He is as close as your back yard. He is omni-present. He is everywhere.

He is the God of all creation, and he is eternal.

You don’t understand the mechanics of God. The internal forces of nature are hidden from our eyes. But you don’t have to understand how a television works in order for it to work. The same is true of God. You don’t have to understand the workings of God in order for him to exist. He exists whether you understand him or not.

Is the world perfect? No, it is not. But God is not perfect. Look around at his creation. There is good and evil, pain and joy. God is not perfect, and his creation is not perfect either.

God has existed billions of years before any of us were born. He was in the universe from the beginning. The God of all time and space. The Creator of all eternity.
