Creationism VS. Evolutionism

Riddle me this: How do those who believe in evolution explain the Second Law of Thermodynamics? It states very simply that the universe is moving from a state of order to disorder. Energy is being spread out and reduced to lower-level forms. This is directly at odds with the theory of macro-evolution.

Easily; the second law of themodynamics is perfectly compatible with evolution. The entropy of a CLOSED system must increase. This does NOT mean that things cannot become more ordered, just that overall things become less ordered.

Yes overall the universe is heading toward a state of more and more disorder. The keyword: overall.

But we have the sun here on planet earth. And FOR NOW, it's giving our planet enough energy to fuel the complexity of life and support evolution.

After a several billion years the sun will burn out after finally running out of fuel, and the earth would no longer be able to sustain life. And without it, everything will die.

(Actually the sun will increase in size and envelop the earth before that happens)

If you still can't understand it, pretend you're on a rollercoaster. You start at the top (highest potential energy) but you can go up and down several times before you reach the bottom. (But you can never end up higher than you started). OVERALL, you're still going downhill the whole time.

Life on earth just happens to be going up one of those little up hills for now.

Hmmm, looks like STU and MACRO at least have some brains, (i.e. critical thinking skils).

Eskimo simply can't understand anything outside of his belief system, regardless of evidence.

You simplify. We know that some order does form due to various forces. We know this because complex planets exist, as do stars, and solar systems. If you still doubt that the basic laws of thermodynamics are not necissarily literal and absolute, then consider the crystalization of water into ice. This is the result of a loss of heat energy allowing the hydrogen bonds between molecules to fix one another into a complex crystaline formation. This is itself, spontaneous, and not directed by intelligent intervention.
