Best NBA player

When considering the best player ever, one should not only consider talent, but also leadership, minutes played, number of games missed, attitude and disiplne of the player. M.J definetly has all the qualities and then some. He is a true hero on and off the court. And is an inspiration to anyone. I would not like to see him return. He left as the best player ever and I would not like to see him jeopardize that.

Michael Jordan enjoyed the advantage of the three point play and referees that allow playground basketball. Wilt Chamberlain had rules introduced just to Keep him from dominating the game. This is the ultimate tribute. Most people that have seen both in their prime would tell you that Wilt was the better player but Michael had the more entertaining style of play . Fantasy seems to set better people today than reality.

========== In Reply To ========== The reality is that the NBA had much superior players when MJ played and he made it look easy. Wilt didn't have the abilities that MJ had (All around). Yes he scored 100 points, but against who? That is his only real accolade for even being considered in this conversation. Did they win 72 games in a season? How many gold medals does wilt have? ...etc The statistics are endless. Heck I could have played in the NBA when wilt did, now I barely make division I in college. MJ is not only superior in every facet of the game than wilt, but his mental strength and ability to call on his skills in the face of adversity clearly shows his superiority on and off the court. I'd like to see wilt scored 100 against shaq and company in his prime or MJ in his prime. It simply would never happen. The players these days are far superior skill wise than when wilt played. Their is no comparison in my mind. I have seen them both play. That is reality.
