Spanking of teens

I was spanked occasionally growing up-- maybe every 3 or 4 months- by either mom or dad. Mom stopped spanking me at about 13 --I assume because of puberty- and simple respect for my not having to take my pants down in front of her. I did get a few spankings from my dad-- very few- til I was 16.They always hurt but were never brutal or harsh. I am sure the spankings are over- as I am finishing my jr. yr. I think my dad would find another punishment regardless of what I did at this age. I did not like to take a spanking at any age- but I think if your relationship is basically a good and trusting one with your parents- then an occasional spanking is not traumatic- at least it was not for me. My parents were and are very good parents-- if they were not good then I would resent a spanking at any age. I think most people would agree with me. thanks
