I really don't like the death penalty. God says "Thou shall not kill" and what makes the executioner any better than the prisoner. It's still taking a life so I don't see why they're allowed to kill while others are punished for it (I know the prisoners have commited horrible crimes but I hope you still see my point).
At the same time, jails do overflow and some people will just never change. So I'm torn on the issue.
Don't be torn-the Bible says an eye 4 an eye. Killers should get the death penalty for extrodinary circumstances-like planning to kill, etc. my Great Uncle was an executioner here in Texas when they had the electric chair-and he was a very fine-Church goin man! He did in a number of real bad Dudes, and believed it was Gods will. So, please don't Y-all say the executioner is no better than the killer-that's just wrong!
