Should short selling be banned?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Shorting and CD’s have nothing to do with one another.

Tho these strategies are diametrically opposed they can be established simultaneously.

CD’s are safer, don’t require any credit, and can be purchased for small amounts of capital allowing most people to invest.

Selling short is risky, requires excellent credit, and a much higher level of capital.
