Because I understand that this is a controversial and "touchy" subject, I welcome debate, but if you post immature messages, I will delete them. Again, intelligent debate is very welcome though, even (especially) if you disagree. I understand that this poll is biased, but I wrote it partly to counter a biased poll with opposite views where my messages kept getting erased. In the future, I will try to mostly make more unbiased polls.

Queers ain't no good...they should all stay in Kal-i-for-nigh-aye.

HA HA HA just kidding.

How's it going totoro? Its been a long time since I been on here due to work and travel. Good poll. Hopefully at least one person will actually open their eye's because of it.

My wife and kids and I went to a gay wedding out in Riverside last weekend. Its great that finally gay's have one less thing to worry about here. After the reception My wife and I went to the local gay club "V.I.P.'s" for a few drinks with friends. Unfortunately for me it was male stripper night, but at least my wife was enjoying it.

Hi Slazyks:

I have lots of cool straight friends like you guys who I go out to clubs with sometimes. I also am friends with a lesbian couple-we went out to this bar called the Stone in Hollywood and got them to tip the go-go boys. That was fun!! I also go to straight strip clubs with a straight friend of mine and tip the dancers just like he does-I don't enjoy it exactly the same way as he does though (lol)!

The Stone is fun. It's gayish some nights and straightish other nights. It is in Thai town, and on the last Friday of the month they have a (mostly Thai) drag show which is quite fun. I've never been to V.I.P's but I've heard of it.

My boyfriend and I are considering getting married, but of course, there is a ballot initiative on the November ballot to have a constitutional amendment to ban gay marraige. My cousin, who is an attorney in San Diego, is figuring out for us what the legal issues would be (she's really cool, and super-excited about the idea of us getting married). Congradulations to your friends!!!!

Hi totoro

Great poll

Interesting result 7% think you are gay because the devil made you that way and I thought he only made us left handed people!

I guess I was lucky having the parents I did - they wouldn't let me have any kind of prejudice. I was brought up within a multicultural social group where women were equal partners and which included Chinese, Thai, European, Indian, Tamil and Malays and also included gay friends who were openly gay within the group even though they couldn't be in society in general. There were Americans and Canadians too but only one couple of each - there weren't a lot about where I was growing up.

The question about an openly gay couple moving in to the neighbourhood actually happened in my little village where a gay couple took over the post office and general store. They have been welcomed by everyone and there seems to be no negativity - at least none I have heard of.

Hi BJake: Thanks.

You really should start making polls. I bet they would be good. I can't find anything to debate with you on still. Maybe we should form an alliance (except then, the troll that keeps flagging my polls and posts would probably do the same to you). I am still amazed that homophobia or any type of bigotry for that matter still exists. I do of course still hold prejudiced views myself sometimes-against fundies, racists, homophobes, and those who unneccesarily flag polls.
