WTA Commercial Shoot
Just last week I hit tennis balls (not played a match) and, on the same day, did a photo shoot where I was the photographer. I thought it might be a mistake but I had promised this guy I hit with him on lunch. At the end of the day, I could barely walk I was so tired.
Photo shoots always last much longer than it is said they will. They are very draining.
Tennis is your job, so save your energy for it.
Rally your friends, Maria, and just say no. I'm glad you brought this to the attention of WTA fans.
Focus on tennis first, Maria -- you can win this one. But when you withdraw from the shoot, give the WTA one or two others dates when you can do a photo shoot. -- Uli
You have to understand that every single organization and every person are only looking for their own advantage. WTA is not any different. By refusing to do what they want, you are setting the example which is very dangerous for them. So, do not “drazny gusey”, be smarter. Find another excuse for not doing what they demand. Talk to your lawyer. If it is easier for you to pay, then pay, but don’t get involved in boycott. You will find it difficult to get others to go public even if they completely agree with you. In addition, it will be VERY destructive for your concentration and for your performance. So, do whatever cost less for YOU.
