US. Gas Tax Idea

While we're at it, let's just suspend all taxes; that way, conservatives can whine about all the public services which they use on a regular basis no longer being available to them...including the Empire's military, which they claim to love and which does their foreign dirty work. See how much Blackwater's goons cost in comparison...never mind the ridiculous overcharging of other corporations for once-public services.

Exactly...and who exactly are their beloved corporations accountable for???? We should have been developing alternative sources of energy more...like several decades ago.

The federal gas tax is like $0.18. Suspending it wouldn't do much.

Deficits are almost always bad for the economy. Ronnie Wilson Reagan proved this.The Dow stalled for the twelve years of the Bush Reagan era. Bush jr has run another deficit and the Dow has not gone above what it was in Clinton's time. Big deficits mean a bigger government and less money for business. We should have an investigation into the gas prices in New Jersey. They have great roads. The set ups for left turns in Jersey are fantastic. You make a right and then a u turn and wait for a light. No sitting on the main road with a chance that you will be hit. Best of all the gas is cheap and they pump it for you!The best way to cut taxes is to legalize dope. Then you tax it. A pound of sensi costs two or three dollars to grow and with taxes would go for over a hundred. We could shut down most of our jails. It is cheaper to pay for college than keeping people in jail. When you get a conviction for dope you can not vote, get a job, or own property. Dope laws are there to oppress blacks. Bush has been convicted of using alcohol, a drug, and was in rehab for cocaine. We trust him with big responsibilities including deciding when and where to send our bomb laden war planes. If he can be President we should legalize dope and then cut taxes.

I honestly don't care, but the government want any excuse to get money. ANYTHING. So they can spend $240 billion on War Jets, and more billions on airports, guns, polluting cars, and investments so they can spend more on crap no-one needs. If we suspend all taxes for one year (seems unlikely), then the Goverment may spend what they have on useful stuff.
