what does it take to get into heaven?

The Bible states "no-one has gone up to Heaven"

Jesus states quite clearly in the Holy Bible "No-one has gone up to Heaven except He who came down from Heaven, the Son of Man whose home is Heaven". It's in the Gospel according to John, but I'm not sure of the exact Scripture reference. What does this Scripture mean? Surely it means that no human has ever gone to Heaven. Where then are the dead? Well, the Book of Ecclesiastes states "the dead know nothing at all". The dead are asleep in the dust of the earth, not aware of anything, awaiting the resurrection and judgement. The Bible talks about the resurrection. If you were already in Heaven, how could you be resurrected?

You're quite right Predator. The people who have died are all supposed to be dead and will be risen up again when Jesus returns. BUT according to Revelations only a set number from each of the twelve trives will reawake and ascend to heaven. Everyone else will just stay dead.

I'm not sure where that leaves hell and the pits of fire, the devil or all the good people who aren't/weren't Jews because, of course the twelve tribes are only Jews - SO no one else is going to heaven. No christians, no muslims, no one else JUST JEWS.

It's all a fairy story anyway. When we die that's it!

It's not up to me. If there is a god you'd have to ask him.... or her... or it. I don't believe there is a god so it doesn't really matter. I don't believe there is life after death so it really doesn't matter. What really matters is how we live the one life we do have and I'd suggest we do it as well as we can because when you're gone, you're gone.

If we did come back and it was up to me I'd let you be anything you wanted top be as long as you didn't hurt anyone - or anything coz some people might want to be kettles or slow cookers or a flower or a little roe deer and we mustn't hurt anyone or anything. I guess that would make me god which would be wierd because I don't believe in god and if you don't believe in yourself, who will?

Totoro's never ever ever hurt people. They are the kings of the Forest but not all screwed up like human kings or human-god kings. They just do all the cool stuff I described earlier. On another subject, I think we are all "god" because we are all part of the DNA of the universe, so there!

As far as "life after death" I have no idea one way or the other. I like to ponder such grand philosophical concepts but then when I look at it quite honestly, I can only conclude that the smart thing to do is to live this life AS IF it is the only one that I gots, so on that point, I fully agree with you. Of course if there is life after death, I would love to be a Totoro...a lot less b.s. involved than what us humans create/deal with....or maybe a Dolphin-they're cool, except then there would be those pesky humans to deal with and their atrocious tuna nets.
