Legend of Zelda: the Lord of Legends

Set after the events of Twilight Princess, Link is a young man who has just joined the hyrulian army, set the with duty to protect princess zelda. However, during a festival, Ganondorf's troops attack the castle and before you can engage in combat with him, he is confronted by 7 robed figures, led by a a black cloaked man wearing the majora's mask.

Apparently, Majora was a god, just like the three who created Hyrule and the Triforce. When the three godesses made the world, Majora; and evil god that wished release from the Sacred Realm, he tried to escape. The struggle that kept him away from Hyrule punched a hole in the Triforce; that upside down triangle at the centre, which created his own peice of the Triforce- the Tricore.

His people's champion, Ganondorf - was given the power to release Majora from his prison, but after many failures and betrayls, Majora has seeped through himself in demi-god form. He seeks the Tricore - which will allow him to claim the Triforce and regain his God powers, where he would be undefeatable. He discards Ganondorf with ease; retreaving his power of the triforce and takes Zelda with him and his 7 men - as both a way to keep the triforce at hand and to gain knowlege of where the Tricore lies.

In the resulting explosion; Link is hurt badly but is saved when he joins powers with Ganondorf. The gimmic of this game is that you can let Ganondorf have main control at points where magic is needed instead of Links items and swordsmanship. But throughout the story he begins to take more and more control, beginning to become Ganondorf fully.

It is learnt that thousands of years ago, the three godesses knew that Majora might eventually escape and made preparations for a warrior to stand against him; The Fierce Deity - a warrior of equal light and dark power. If they want to defeat Majora for both of their purposes, they will need to work together and claim the power of the mages and the anit-mages (Majora's 7 men) and finally face Majora.
