Europeans - Where you you travel ?

My love of travel

Posted by Predator on 2008-02-28 17:33:50

Yeah, I absolutely love travel, and have devoted a fair bit of my life to it. I have been to 63 countries, but two of those no longer exist (the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia) so I had to cross them off my list.
Wtih regard to the "micro-countries" you mention, I have been to all of them. The most awesome country I visited was Peru. Countries I regard as beautiful are many, but particularly New Zealand, Iceland, Poland and Bulgaria. Italy is a lovely country, but too hot in summer. Best to go in late Sept/Oct.
Each year, when I go on holiday, I go somewhere different. I rarely if ever go back to the same place again. This year I am still trying to decide, but India is a favourite, with other possibilities including Cuba, Russia, or even Vietnam is an outsider.
If the good Lord spares my life, I plan to do a lot more travelling, and I hope to chalk up 100 countries visited someday. But for this to happen, I would need to go on some more overland trips.
I've never married or had children so I am free to travel. The only barrier is money. Best wishes to you.

I envy you- I wish I could have been to the USSR. The only non-european place I have been to is China (Beijing and Shanghai), otherwise I have only really visited europe. I have relatives in Poland so we go there quite a lot (it's a beautiful country) I liked Germany and Switzerland too =]
