Religious Education in Schools

Make it an elective

I object to the teaching of any religion in any school except as a totally voluntary elective. And only then if it is taught as a comprehensive overview of all religions. The required teaching of religion to children is CHILD ABUSE.

And by the way, atheism is NOT a religion. It is a lack of religion in the same sense that baldness is not a type of hair. Atheists do not have rituals, rites, dogmas, scriptures, or any of the contrived baggage that comes with religion. Atheists think for themselves.

quite right about atheism. It is the opposite to religion, hence why I sometimes refer to it as areligion, or simply free thought.

Equating atheism with free thought is sloppy thought. An atheist can be a free thinker, or not. As can a religious person.
