The worlds oldest profession

Years ago I visited Istanbul, an ancient city and center of civilization. I was told of an alley that was lined with bordellos. I went there and found what looked like row houses with picture windows. One could see women well past what we in the West would rate their prime. Sort of like grandmothers dressed in undies. Even though they were old the street was filled with young Turks who could not get enough. Many American youths went to Paris back then. Shame more of them did not go east. It was cheaper to go to Asia minor as it cost $2 a day to live there.
