Hi, thanks for looking at my poll. My daughters 18 and 15 have been bought up in a very strict Catholic family and have always had to wear their full school uniform, study and respect their elders. During a 1/2 hour break, my eldest daughter came across mrpoll and respecting elders section and noticed other children have a similar upbringing to her. A couple of days ago, my sister called me on holidays to say, Briddy had asked if she could kneel before her as a sign of respect. She was very happy at this gesture and of course said yes. As my 15 year old walked past she asked what was going on and her aunt said that Briddy was showing her respect and it would be a good idea for her to as well. Clair is a bit fiesty compared to Briddy and said no. Our family dose'nt believe in hitting our children, so Lucy gave her 500 lines to write saying "Kneeling to elder€s is a good way of showing respect" to be done after evening study it took her 4 hours to do from 10pm to 2am. Needless to say, next morning after breakfast, she joined Briddy for her 15 mins. Both my husband and I are very happy both girls kneel to us as a sign of respect each night for 15 minutes, ankles together, knees together, arms by sides and head up straight with eyes forward. As we both look at them, we are very proud of them dressed perfectly in their full school uniforms with their hair neatly tied up in a french bun and bun net. I think this will catch on as society goes toward a more traditional way of life where elders are respected. For the children, it doesn't hurt (slight uncomfort), only takes 15 minutes and gives them time to deeply think of the respect they are showng to their parents in this most humble of ways. For the parents, it conveys discipline in the child.

well, this sounds like excellent dress code and overall discipline. I hope their ties and collars are kept properly fastened and tight throughout the day, as I wear mine.
