Reporting of sex crimes in the media

Sex crimes are rare and horrible. There are people who are excited by the thought of spanking or raping a child. I can't think of any reason why a story about a child being tied up, spanked and raped has to be treated in a way that won't excite readers sexually. I think the papers should make the descriptions and pictures more sexual and revealing, and there should be a Child Stripper Channel and a Child Spank Channel on the television.

Thanks for your comments, Jenn1e. Your reply sums up the issue with reporting these crimes. Almost anybody you ask would condemn these crimes as horrible, but secretly many of us are sexually excited reading about it, as the responses to this poll show. The media know this and the news stories reflect it. As for child shows on television, I don't think this would happen in the current climate. Some people might argue that it would make child sex attacks more likely, but on the other hand it could help potential molesters satisfy their urges harmlessly at home.

I was very exhibitionistic as a child. I was spanked and occasionally caned, always nude. It was not too severe, except after I turned 8 and even then only when I was really naughty. It was quite exciting to be made to wear only a T-shirt for the rest of the day. Thise always excited me more than full nudity. I have been tied up but I don't know how much I can say here. It excited me.

to DaddysGurlCass, don't be surprised if you get aroused thinking about Jenn1e's post. She's only saying what the media know and exploit already.......reporting of sex crime excites the readers and sells newspapers. Its just another example of the hypocrisy in our society........people say 'ain't it awful'...but at the same time they want to hear all about it and in as much detail as possible.
