Baltimore has no life after dark. One has to drive to Philadelphia to find life. It is that bad here!

I should say that the aliens will be as far above us on the evolutionary scale,as we are above the amoeba.

Of course there's a scale--certainly,humans are more highly developed than trilobites(those pre-historic lobster-like things).And once we've evolved beyond the need for physical bodies(assuming that can/will happen),that--or something else--will be another notch beyond,on the scale.
