Have you ever dated your brother or sister?

My sister and I were involved when we were in high school. We were friends, siblings, and lovers all at the same time. She was my first real girlfriend and I'll always cherish the closeness we shared. If society was more accepting I'm sure we'd still be together today.

Although I think that the poll results on MisterPoll are unscientific and very skewed, they are still interesting. (The results are not random and only the people who want to participate do so, and I think a lot of the respondents are lying.) Nevertheless, there are more brothers and sisters who have been involved in an intimate relationship than one would think. Here on MisterPoll we seem to get quite a few people who are just acting out a pruient interest, and I guess they would say pretty much anything, but we also get a few who are the real deal. I have found that I tend to believe those people who are kinder, more intelligent and well-spoken and who have a bittersweet nostalgia more than the "Send pics!" crowd. They're idiots

As far as the "EEeewww! That's sick!" response, all I can say is strange things happen to regular people and there ain't no accounting for LOVE. Some people fall for people that maybe they shouldn't, but "love is blind."

Trainhopper is right, $exc_babe, and you shouldn't be so judgemental. You can't control what your heart feels, and you can't control who you are attracted to or feel in love with. You feel what you feel, and the only "choice" is whether or not you persue that attraction.

I've never been romantically attracted to a relative or sibling because that is not where my heart takes me (although where my heart takes me is even less accepted by society). However I have seen what kind of love can bloom between a brother and sister; it's a beautiful thing and they shouldn't be denied that happiness.

Hey Trainhopper, I forgot to ask whatever happened with your relationship with your sister. Did it end or does it continue today?
