Do You Hate George Bush?

As the title goes, he isn't the brightest lightbulb in the house. And when it come to making a point, his call is often not what one would expect. (lets face it, he can't talk his way out of a cardboard box). One of his biggest errors that I have noticed was the seperation of the two parties during the war in Iraq. Rather than uniting there efforts to end the war, Bush split the parties.

Bush responsible for splitting the two parties, I'm sorry but nothing could be further from the truth.

In 2002 Democrats and Republicans were unified behind the idea of using military force to go into Iraq. The resolution that sent us there titled "Resolution to use Military Force in Iraq" was passed by a large majority of member of both the Republicans and the democrats. In other words, most of these democrats that are pretending to be anti-war, actually voted to send our troops to war. (Hillary, Kerry, Edwards, Kennedy) and many other prominent democrats voted for and gave public support to the war.

Lets fast foward about 3 years later, when it became increasingly clear that the war was not going as well as we had hoped. These senators, in an effort to distance themselves from the war that they helped get us into, began to pretend that they were opposed to it from the start. Sorry guys, it doesn't work like that. I'm not saying that Bush and the republicans are not responsible for the divide in this country, they bare a significant portion of the blame as well. What I am saying is that democrats and republicans joined together to get us into this, and they need to join together to figure out how we can get out, hopefully victoriously.

So did Kucinich. Alot of Democrats sold out and they deserve as much scrutiny as the Republicans who voted for this war. I do, however congratulate the Democrats and sparse Republicans who voted against the war. If politicians can't figure out obvious lies we shouldn't elect/re-elect them.
