Stephanie Plum Series: Joe vs. Ranger?

Though I agree that being "normal" doens't necessarily mean "boring," I have to say that I don't agree with Ranger being a "bad boy." The difference between Morelli and Ranger is that Morelli is who he will be for the rest of his life. Ranger is still evolving. It's unfair to imply that Ranger can't do the same "normal" things Morelli does, because we don't have enough information either way to know for sure that he can't or won't. My vote goes to Ranger because as far as fiction goes, Ranger is more fun to read. His character leaps off the page and his actions speak volumes in regards to his feelings for Stephanie's character. Joe is all talk. Ranger is all action.
