Hey, exactly what I was going to say. Alot of people don't realize that our involvment in Vietnam started way back in 1956

Actually,y'all are both technically correct:but,only technically.True,Ike,sent military advisors to Southeast Asia,after the predictable French military collapse.These early eAmerican entrants into the dustup,had no,or very limited,combat roles.There function was not dissimiliar to situations at any given in remote outposts througout the world-postWWII.It was LBJ,who,pushed the Gulf of Tonkin through a Democratic Congress,Thus began our major combat operations in Vietnam.
