Who really built the great pyramids?

The Egyptians weren't the first civilization to build something impressive, nor did they build something impressive without any practice. They made some lesser known, lesser quality pyramids long before the really impressive ones. When you've got so many slaves that you can sit around and figure out how to basically pile a lot of rocks in a nice design, all you need is time and a few really smart people to make it happen.
