Depeche Mode remixes: crap or not?

Hello fellow moders,

I have to agree that I am somewhat disappointed by the new crop of mixes. What I miss is the days where singles were almost treated as EP's. Think of the Violator days when each single included mixes of the single, non-album tracks with still more remixes (Sea of Sin, Kalied, etc.).

They have been using more "Trendy" remixers these days which I'm all for but how about some more interpretations in these new mixes without losing the integrity of the song.

Though you may not agree with me, I did enjoy "Drowning In Time" but it had little to do with Home. I'm still surprised that with the Singles album they didn't introduce new remixes of classic singles like they did with the release of 101. The Absolut Mix of Everything Counts is still quite fresh.

What I ask for in the next few singles. More new material (if possible), remixes of other tracks from Exciter and maybe a new mix of "My Joy" or "Halo". Is that asking for too much?
