Kathleen posted another message with concerns about poll security. I removed her actual message because it was overly accusatory and arguably exposed a confidential legal document. However, I do want to address her misconception on how polls work here at Mister Poll.
No polls here are private in the the sense of being secure. When launching a poll, you have the option to submit it to the Mister Poll directory. If you choose not to, your poll will certainly be private in comparison to being listed in a public directory. That does not mean that it's secure. You can pass your poll's URL to your friends, and they can pass it to others, and so on. Anybody with the URL can view your poll. Think of it like a private phone number. Anybody can dial it, but it's not publicized by being listed in the phone directory.
We do not currently offer any kind of a truly secure poll. If we did, we would state it clearly and offer security features such as a password or an invitation-only voting system.
