If you rename a poll while people are voting for you, will that put potential voters off?

Well, if they're already in the process of voting, they likely won't see your name change. If they haven't voted, chances are they haven't seen your poll, so they probably wouldn't know you changed the name.

One thing to keep in mind, though. If your poll has already been reviewed and approved for the Mister Poll directory, changing the title will temporarily remove it from the directory until we can review your changes. Any kind of a material change to your poll will have the same effect. This is to prevent people from creating an innocent poll, getting it approved, and then editing to be something adult.
