Nice New Look, but Problems With Viewing My Polls

Posted by Pauly on 2007-12-05 16:34:56

I really like the new look of Mister Poll. It is now a lot easier now to log on and you do not need to put your psssword every time that you log on to the site on the same day. I do however, have problems trying to retrive my polls. Every time I click "YOUR POLLS" on the top of my screen, the computer will not even log on to my polls. What would happen is my computer would "freeze up" and not even go to my polls, and I get an error message stating that the site encountered a problem and needs to close, and i have to start all over again. I can however do what I used to do and type in a topic in the search box, and get the polls that I created and view them that way. However, there are some polls that I created that I like to delete since they are so old, and really like to know why I am having this problem. I know it is not my computer, because I tried my boss's computer, and had the same problems, so I like to know what is happening.

THank You

Pauly, could you let me know what operating system and web browser you are using? We've tested this in a lot of browsers, and I've never seen that particular problem. You will need a "modern" browser to use the new poll admin, such as IE6+, Firefox 1.5+, Opera (not sure on the versions), Safari, etc. It should work with most anything made in the last several years. The rest of the site will probably work with slightly older stuff.

Let me know what you're using and I'll see what I can figure out.

All I can tell you taht I am using Windows XP Home Edition. I do not really know what browser I am using. I don't even know how to check what brower I am using unfortunealy. My Internet system is WIndows Internet Explorer if that helps any. I think I am using the 7.0 version of Windows internet.

Thanks, Pauly. That's exactly what I needed to know. We did test this exhaustively on Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.0. I will go through and try it again just to be sure, though. I suspect there must be something else going on.
