* If you want to turn this poll into your own email forward or survey, read these instructions.
* If you just want to complete the poll itself, right from this website, scroll down to see Question 1.
We do not intend this research document as Spam or any other form of advertising or otherwise malicious content.
1. One word/characteristic per post if your idea for a post has more than one word, try VERY hard to think of a single word that describes what is on your mind. That means NO SENTENCES, and NO repeats, and no long lines listing qualities separated by commas.
a. Separate character traits by line breaks only.
2. Make sure you go thru the entire list BEFORE posting; if the word you were thinking of is the same or similar to a word that's already on the list, cross it out and think of something else. I REPEAT: DO NOT REPEAT... TRY TO THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE IF THE WORD/CHARACTERISTIC YOU WERE GOING TO ADD IS ALREADY ON THE LIST!
3. Yet another important rule (trust me, it's worth it!): Avoid trying to add traits that people have almost NO control of whatsoever. This includes things such as 'white,' 'Chinese', 'tall,' 'small ears,' 'not a burn survivor.'
4. The word/characteristic must make sense when placed after the phrase "He is... " Or "He should be... " If that's impossible, then at it must at least make sense after "He... "/"He has... "/"He has a... "
5. Do not put quotes in this thread. It kills the idea of having a non-repeating, non-hierarchal list.
a. This rule is mainly for message boards, but also means that when this text is found in an email, go to your mail display options to get rid of the pesky reply lines and '>'s, then open this up again to copy and paste it into a new email compose message, rather than simply hitting the Forward button.
It would also be very helpful if you would copy the URL address to the page where you can take this poll and post it anywhere people who would be willing to take this poll will come across the link, such as message boards, chat rooms, and various websites; just follow the rules. Please tell your friends and family members about this site so that we can get lots of results.
Notes:
1. Aside from sending your opinion BACK to
gonetobanff@hotmail.com, you do not have to send this to anyone else if you do not want to.
a. Forward this to as few or as many close friends as you want, but the main idea is to submit to the originator ideas that will teach guys how to be better friends and boyfriends
i. It is therefore in your best interest to forward this poll to as many friends and family members as you think will enjoy it, so that more people can contribute to a cause that will teach guys how to be better people. In the end, this is something that helps all of us
b. This is a universal edition for use in email compositions, message boards and forums, website polls, and print-out questionnaires
i. Please send your results to each of the following
gonetobanff@hotmail.com
Thank you very much for participating in this very important research project!
Below are the survey questions:
1. Please use words (or the check boxes if this is the form version) to say the male traits that are most important in a bf
(boyfriend / husband) in your opinion.
If this poll is by email, please only use words to answer, not numbers. Use or add to the list at the end of this document.
2. Which of the following traits do you least or definitely NOT look for in a bf (boyfriend / husband)?
Use the list at the end of this document.
3. Please report repeats.
For example, are there any words that we have listed twice or are too similar to other words on this list?
If so, what are they? Use the list at the end of this document.
4. What about the opposite of repeats?
We'd like to split up combined traits that are on a single line separated by slashes (/)
that you think should be on separate lines because they're too different from each other.
Please tell us which of the following trait numbers have traits that are in slashes that we should separate on a different line.
5. Are there any traits on this list that you think we should DELETE? Please state which ones.
6. Please add to this list.
What is a character trait that we have not listed here that you look for in a boyfriend or husband?
Refer to the list at the end of this document to make sure what you are trying to add is not already listed.
7. Feel free to suggest other changes, such as using different words.
8. What should we change to make this post more attractive/interesting/popular/exciting/EASY TO UNDERSTAND?
Please name all the changes you can think of to improve this info collection system.
